I am the youngest of four children. My mother abandoned us, leaving us with our elderly grandmother. Our grandmother could not physically and financially support us. A neighbor would bring us food but it was not enough to sustain us. Our living arrangements were deplorable. The roof was caving in. The home was not safe and left us in a vulnerable state. No one in the family was willing to take care of us. Life finally had hope when I came to live at Mahiga Children’s Home. I am now at Mahiga Children’s home where I feel safe and loved.
