My mom died from AIDS when I was 4 years old.  She was never married. I do not know my father.  My siblings and I went to live with our grandmother.  She is divorced and my uncles are all alcoholics who bother her a lot.  It was hard living with her.  I was sent home from school a lot because I did not school supplies.  There was nothing that I could do. We had no money.  I’m very thankful to be at Kaptagat Children’s Home where I am safe and able to attend school regularly. I am in Class 3 (3rd grade).  My mom never finished school because of financial challenges in the family. I am hoping to change this cycle.
