My family lived in the Sinai Slum in Nairobi.  In 2011 my father was killed when their was an oil fire.  My mother was also burned by she has recovered.  I was only two years old.  At that time my older brother, Peter, went to live at Maai Mahiu Children’s Home because my mother could not care for us but I was too young to leave her.  Since then she has been forced to earn money by engaging with men in all kinds of ways. As I’m getting older I am no longer safe living with my mom.  I am so thankful to live with my brother, Peter, at the Children’s Home.  I am in 4th grade (Class 4).
