My family does not really have a house. It has fallen down to the point that I was living with neighbors before I came to live at Mahiga Children’s Home. My mother has an intellectual disability and my father is unable to work consistently. I have four older siblings. We would often goes days without eating a meal. When my sister, Jane, and I came here I was extremely malnourished and had stopped attending school. That was in 2011. I am now in Class 10 (10th grade). I am an average student. I enjoy playing ball games. I try to be polite and humble as I am so thankful for this second chance I’ve been given.
