My mom passed away from AIDS.  My dad is sick too and after he watched my mom die he became very
desperate and turned to drugs to take the pain away.  There really was no money that was used to care for me and my brother.  Neighbors and teachers at school saw that the conditions are our home were very bad and stepped in to help as they could.  My school performance was dropping significantly.  When I was 8 years old I was given the opportunity to live at Mahiga Children’s Home.   I have finished primary school and am now studying plumbing in trade school. I am so thankful.
