My parents separated when I was very young.  My sister and I stayed with our mom.  She passed away from cancer on December 19, 2015 after being sick for a long time.  I was left to live with my sister.  She has her own son and is separated from her husband.  My sister does not have a consistent job.  Sometimes the landlord would lock us out of her rented room because she could not pay the rent. Life is hard.  I was thankful for the opportunity to live at Maai Mahiu Children’s Home.  I am in 6th grade (Class 6) at the CFH Academy.
