I come from a large family of six people. My mom is a single parent. We used to live in the government forest until we were evicted. I was a small baby when that happened. We went to live at my grandparents place and my uncle offered us a small piece of land, however the ground is not fertile. My mom tries to find work but it is very unreliable. I am not able to go to school consistently because she cannot afford it. Two of my siblings are sponsored by another program. I felt like my future was dark until I was given a chance to live at Mahiga Children’s Home. I am in 2nd grade (Class 2).
